I guess I did not make myself clear. The guy predicting the end of the
world for tech stocks in my opinion is predicting a 4 times in a century event. If I spend my time worrying about such an event ("looking in the rear view mirror"), I will miss opportunities or risks which have a much greater chance of happening.

My reference to TXN was that here is a good company which has been hammered. Rather than take an extreme position and find reasons why
the stock could go to 20, it makes more sense to evaluate more probable events which might make it unclear whether it is a sale at 40 now.

By the way, even if the doomsayers end up being right, I think it is too simple for stocks to continue going straight down after the major
tech stock decline we have just had. I would suspect we first would have a good bear market rally sometime soon.
