I don't think so.. If you were going to meet Queen Elizabeth would you refuse to follow accepted protocol? If I was going to meet one of the Saudi Princes I wouldn't care WHAT their protocol was. I wouldn't hold their hand and I wouldn't smooch them on the mouth. If I was going to meet your Mother or your Wife and bowed to either of those ladies because I had respect for them would you consider me to acting "subservient" or simply polite and respectful?
