If we like DIS for the ESPN franchise, why not consider DISCA. It is a content franchise too and. I like it even better than ESPN. if you think about it, ESPN does not really create most of their content, the sports leagues do. Whoever produces the content in the end has the pricing power and I could see the sport leagues going around ESPN and trying to get a better deal. There are already teams who have their own cable channel. If you think about it, the Basketball or football league could show the door yo ESPN and just create their own channel. With video over the internet, it's way easier now and going forward to go the direct route to the customer. This is not a risk with DISCA.

DISCA is not cheap, bit it's a real franchise with strong FCF, international and expanding distribution and they control their content. They should be able to grow for many years.

Could have, should have bought for 10$+ during the financial crisis buy that was then and now is now....
