well... it was until mexico reverted to their old ways.....

they showed a clear math deficiency, since a game lasts 90 minutes..... they stopped playing in a winning way for the last 20 minutes or so..... they thought "they had the game all secured" (foolishly, particularly with 1 x 0 difference AND against the DUTCH)

then after the tie.... they got all shaky knees and started making mental mistakes, which led to that unnecessary foul by marquez and the penalty shot.... essentially... giving away the match to the dutch

this has been the best mexican team i have ever seen.... but they have a mental problem.... they simply DO NOT KNOW HOW TO WIN... period.

in short.... they choked.

now the dutch go forward against the ticos....(costa rica) and that may be the surprise of the tournament..... the ticos will fight to the death.... (ask the mexicans, who have lost numerous times to them in the concacaf qualies). as far as this tournament goes they beat italy and uruguay, and in a more relaxed game (since both teams qualification had been resolved) tied with england..... in any way one sees this, this is no small feat....

anyway.... mexico's defeat ... a clear disappointment.
