The problem with this viewpoint is that the only one exercising rights as a corporation is the CEO. Who does not necessarily reflect the viewpoints of even a majority of those involved in the corporation. Given that they now can essentially pour unlimited amounts of money to influence the political process means that everyone else's rights are compromised. Between that and lobbyists, everyone but the plutocrats and the corporations are essentially shut out of political influence.

And that is why we are no longer a democracy. The only ones with representation is the 1%.

That's a ridiculous claim.

Ownership in a corporation, any corporation, is voluntary. No one is ever required to do it. This, of course, is the beauty of free markets and why they work.

If the management of a corporation you own stock in doesn't represent your interests, then you simply sell your shares and buy something else. That's what I do. That's what most people do. It isn't complicated. One of the most basic attributes of the corporate form is free transferability of interests; it couldn't be easier.

Utilizing the corporation to represent political voices totally makes sense as an offset to the ever-growing power of incumbency. When a senate campaign can have millions spent by an incumbent you would never get nitwits like Mark Pryor out of office without a way to sort of even the score, financially.
