Good Morning Joan:

I agree about autos. The last time I thought about the name Komatsu was when the U. S. devalued the dollar from 200 plus yen. Until then, I never saw heavy equipment with the Komatsu logo at U. S. construction sites. I don't even know if Komatsu is still around, but if it is, it will be a tough competitor to U. S. heavy equipment manufacturers in the U. S. and around the world. The more yen to the dollar, the more Komatsu to the construction site.

The key to any possible recession in the U. S. are these currencies. The longer they are low, the more possibility of a recession. Of course, the collapse of foreign competitors needs to be considered also. Such a complicated world.
