What's so special about the kids here now? They are here now. Other than that, not much.
There are 600 M people in Latin America and the Caribbean. Approximately 1/3 are under the age of 15. If only half of them are living in similar conditions, then 100M kids are thinking about making their way up here.
How many should we let in?
Let's make it EZer. There are about 26 million in Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, where most of the kids are coming from. IIRC, 35% are under 15; roughly 9 million, and I think some are coming in their mothers' arms, so maybe even 10 mil.
