Than if they didn't have the job at Walmart. Walmarts action in their situation is to employ these people. Its actions reduce the amount that government has to pay. We subsidize Walmarts low wages. No the government subsidizes the employees (and not because of any action or request by Walmart) and in the process we increase the reservation wages, increasing the amount that Walmart has to pay them (at least in the poorer, lower wage and cost, markets that Walmart serves, not so much in places like Wiliston ND thelibertarianrepublic.com )
