The problem is that you cannot attack these religious cultural problems without attacking the church. Anyway that is how people see it. So the serious problems most religions teach e.g (ban against birth control) cannot be discussed.

There are myriad problems being caused by "church cultures" around the world yet NO ONE dare bring them up because they are tied to religion and they will be called a bigot. So they fester and bring the human species closer and closer to an over populated and untenable existence.

I point out that the Mormon culture taught racism until 1970, was instrumental in defeating the equal rights amendment for women and had the Mormons tithing to repeal gay marriage in California and I caught hell for it.

All my life it has frustrated me that the churches can put forth platforms that would ostracize anyone else that held those positions and yet no one dare challenge them for fear of being called a bigot.

Mormons: racism, sexism, genderism and ex communication for apostasy.

Catholics: sexism (wouldn't even let men use condoms to protect against aids in Africa) and genderism.

Islam: death for apostasy, radical sexism, female mutilation and genderism

Southern Baptist: sexism and genderism

And on and on.
