I always get a kick out of the option game. Some people say 90% of the people who write the options expire worthless so then I would guess some portion of the 10% are looser and the rest are winners. I've even heard that the option writters control the price of the stock so it closses on expiration date worthless. Maybe that's why I don't play that game.

The last time I mentioned heavy call activity on this thread was Sept 30 and you can see what happened on the chart the following week (up $10 CND). I guess I just don't understand why people planning on taking a long term position can't wait for an uptrend before buying, especially in this market, oh well, not my problem.

You just answered your own question. Newbridge is very volatile and you never know were the uptrend is going to start and if you do please tell all of us so we can be very wealthy. All it takes is for Newbridge to announce a major contract and here we go again.

I'm guessing that the year end tax selling and Asian flu is causing all the sellers to come out in force. I know NN is not that heavily exposed in Asian but fear is fear. Come the new year we can rule out the tax sellers and if the stock hasn't rebound by then the market expect the competition and or Asia to take away Newbridges business and the market is always right.

So from my point of view - NN is a screaming buy < $50 CDN if you think that the competition won't hurt NN sales or the demand for bandwidth will be so great that there is more than enough business to offset the competition.

NN is expanding, they are building a new facility in Hull,Quebec they must think that business is going to be booming in the future, I do.
