I don't think demonstrations will work without a consolidation of our purpose. In the 60's we all agreed on the purpose of what we were protesting. And we have become a country where power trumps law as the powerful increasingly learn how to wield it and how far they can go. And no entity epitomizes that like the recent supreme court.. And we have grown silent about all of it. Roberts, I have read was the mastermind behind the 2,000 election steal by the SC. He is quoted as saying; "we can get away with it." Yes indeed. Not one of the criminal bankers went to jail. Too much power. Few say much about it any more. Not one of Bush's people who committed blatant treason was brought to justice. Too much power. Few say much about it any more. Not one war criminal went to jail. Too much power; and so now the war criminals have renewed validity and are being asked for their ideas by the MSM. The reason Obama did not take them on is he did not want to take on that power. Simple as that. Can't say I blame him actually. How many known pedophile priests go to jail? Not many. Too much power. If it was anyone else the dogs would be sent after them. How many Mormon pedophiles go to jail? Not many. Too much power. Not even polite to discuss it. How many corporate CEO's go to jail for fraud and criminal activity. Not many. Look how blatant Christy's sins are and he is still governor. Half the people in jail are for drug offenses (victimless crimes) , while the real criminals run loose.. That is nuts to everyone except private jails. And most of those inmates are people of color----who have no power. It is all about the abuse of power. Exactly what democracy was invented to deal with.
