Local woman got Darwined

A family gathering was taking place with "a number" of people in attendance. Kathryn Flint, 49, went inside the home to retrieve multiple mortar-style fireworks that had been laying on a bed in a bedroom.

But while she was in the bedroom, investigators say there was an apparent accidental ignition of at least one mortar; when that mortar exploded, it ignited others in the room resulting in a chain reaction that caused a fire.
