Bonnie,

I have some precious metal no-load funds and a couple of small gold stocks, which are of course way down. I am thinking of dumping most of it and putting the money into Barrick Gold.

My reasoning is that some of the smaller mines are no longer profitable, whereas Barrick has a cost structure of about $190/oz and has sold gold forward for at least a year and probably two or three years.

Here are some details on their hedging program from last year.

PS - I know Midas is better than average, and their portfolio may be better than most.
