[ Market Maker/Smith Controversy ] Ga Bard,

You posted:

"Let me put it this way BE SKEPTICAL VERY SKEPTICAL"

For a skeptic, I find it unusual to see you become so enamored with Mr. Smith's comments. As you yourself mentioned, "the internet is fraught with tricksters," for we cannot verify the source from which SI dialogue originates from. In the same manner, we cannot verify Mr. Smith's background, yet you cling to his comments like a lover does to his partner(Post #83: "Christopher that has to be the very best POST I have ever read on SI or any thread I have visited").

I am not here to kill the messenger, but I recommend that you subscribe to your own suggestions.

On a different note, I do agree, however, that Mr. Smith has raised some very valid arguments, and that intellectual dialogue based on the points he has raised would be beneficial to all those involved. I do see some "ad hominem" (attacking the person's character), rather than a direct dialogue to address to the intellectual issues raised.

I believe there is currently a discussion taking place on SI already about MM involvement.
