The author devotes one chapter (47 pages) to TA. I haven't reached that chapter yet.
Three major groups of indicators:
The first is trend-following indicators - MA moving averages (e.g. EMA (exponential moving averages), MACD (moving average convergence- divergence), MACD-Histogram, the Directional System.
The second group is oscillators - to help identify turning points. They include Momentum, Rate of Change, Smoothered Rate ofChange, Williams %R, Stochastic, Relative Strength Index.
The third area the is covered is volume indicators, Herrrick Payoff Index, New High-New Low Index, Traders' Index. Elder Ray, Force and Force Index. |
