The Virgen Property is mainly hosted in the Chimu Formation. There is very little Calipuy Volcanics in that area. Probably the Alumbre Zone as you mention is hosted in this formation.

All are the sediments brecciated?
The sediments are brecciated because of 2 reasons: Regional Folding along a NW-SE trend. When you fold quartzites the greatest degree of brecciation is along the hinges of the folds. This is not hydrothermal brecciation. Secondly, brecciation occurs along the contact between the Chimu sediments and the Tertiary intrusives. Gold Mineralization at The La Arena property occurs in the contact zone.

Model type? You are not looking at a High Sulphidation system similar to Yanacocha. Yanacocha is hosted in the Calipuy Volcanics which overlying Cretaceous quartzites. The Yanacocha is not a new sandstone hosted deposit. Montoya is very wrong is this case.

The Virgen Property is lower in the system therefore you are probably looking at a Cu-Au porphyry system intruding Cretaceous sediments. The problem is what depth is the porphyry. It's probably to deep.
