GHWB supported the invasion. This was his reply (which is now in the Bush Library) to GWB's letter informing GHWB of it, on the day of the invasion:

"Your handwritten note, just received, touched my heart. You are doing the right thing. Your decision, just made, is the toughest decision you’ve had to make up until now. But you made it with strength and with compassion. It is right to worry about the loss of innocent life be it Iraqi or American. But you have done that which you had to do."

So, if there was any dissent in there it is undetectable by me at least. I don't think there was that much discussion of it with GHWB, though, before the fact.

As to tejek, it is like talking to Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow, and Al Sharpton, all rolled into one...
