Engagement sure as hell has been a disaster. They don't like us. They don't want to be like us. They want our money, and they're ok with sending their kids here to be educated (the boys, not the girls)- but aside from that, forgetaaboutit. That whole glorious "We've all got to coordinate" stuff sounds great- but it doesn't work. We can't even coordinate within our country, how on Earth do you expect it to happen with other countries? Except in limited circumstances it won't. It's just not going to happen. The ME will retain it's medieval mindset until the ME decides it needs to grow up, and we can't make that happen. In fact, we will probably delay it with messy and stupid interferences- and we will definitely waste time and money doing that- as we already have during Bush's adventures in the ME. You know the definition of insanity, right?
