Joan, that is exactly what I did with MRK, writing deep in the money covered calls. But I am also heavy in cash, since the segment I enjoy most (semi and other high techs) is going to be down for the count. There I just participate in short term and actually risky "raids". Just jumped back into VECO Friday just under 20, ahead of schedule (which was Tue or Wed) because the pummeling it got was so severe. Zeev
