Where does it say t hat the independents have turned against Obama. I heard this line also in the summer of 2012 but in the end Obama got re elected. The independents would not vote for any extreme brand of politics. And the middle-of-the-road Republicans acknowledge that and hence the difference with their Tea Party colleagues.

Let us wait and see all over again how Ted Cruz fares in the Republican primaries. The Republican voters who take part in the primaries are not that stupid to go for Cruz, I think.
