Marc: I personally believe those who write directly to ABC RADIONET will have the greatest impact since it is likely that the decision to extend their program, MONEYTALK, will be made by their executives. While Bob has mentioned that the team he works with to produce the program are all dedicated to doing a financial program of integrety, there's no way of knowing for sure what the decision makers are dedicated to, especially since I believe Disney took over ABC after BB inked his 1994 contract. They may think mickey mouse would increase ratings - who knows.

I agree that golf caller discussion towards the end of yesterday's program may be a bad sign, but Bob seems to enjoy golf. It may be that talking golf and flying lessons is an easy way to get him talking about non-investment topics because he likes those topics. Frankly, I listen for the investment stuff. I don't like it when he uses precious program time (which often gets pre-empted for sports by local affiliates) to discuss golf, football, flying or whatever, but if that's what it takes to keep him going, so be it.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that this excellent program does not disappear. I'd say each of us should do what they feel in their heart they can do to support the program at this time (e.g., write or e-mail the network or their local affiliate or both). If we don't support what's good in the world, the good will disappear.
