fcv.v - Focus has frustrated me no end, got bits at lows of last summer, but nowhere near enough, then tried continually for months to add, just mostly a little too cheap, passed up large offers at a dime and twelve cents, preferring instead to stink bid a penny or so below, and got few if any of them filled, only when i paid up ... except in daughter's college acct, managed to get her fcv .07s, also vtr.to cheap before it was taken out, lucky girl, now i tend to copy what she does [even though i personally push the buttons in all accts, lol] [she has svb.to, fwiw, some of it bought below .30, avg cost a hair above where it is today] ... trading can be gut-twisting, or you can sort of shrug and think what does it matter, gonna make some mistakes no matter what you do [standing pat is a trading action too, and often wrong], it gets easier then ... when TDW started offering cheaper commission and free depth if you kept up an average of fifty trades per month, it encouraged me to loosen up, stick in lots of offers and such bids as your cash permits, then tweak as needed ... works better on stocks you don't talk about, because that narrows the spread, and ones that aren't personal favourites, because that gets you attached, lose your cosmic overview advantage to some extent, on the other hand you're maybe more informed on them, and more patient in the holding, so the longer term trading should work out better

Pretty harsh to hear of Canuck Dave passing on, gee that's way too young, completely unfair, such a nice guy, and right when the PMs are starting to recover, as he knew they would, sooner or later, he has nugt.amex in the contest, should really be around to feel the vindication
