The Calipuy volcanics do occur here and indeed do host the Alumbre zone.
They were not previousy recognized as they subcrop for the most part.

I doubt if Montoya made many errors in cataloguing these deposits as he
had opportunity to visit them all. The Yancocha does occur in the Chimu
strata and does have intrusives as its generators.

They sulphidation may be more extensive in other parts of the system as
the newer copper-gold intersections attest.

The contact relation of the intrusives and the higher brecciation near them
is noted by the company. It does have similarities to the Arena.

The reality is the gold occurs at surface is wide and goes down and holds
grade.

The sad part is that it will be expensive to explore at low gold prices
as drilling is very difficult.

The good part is that it will be very cheap to mine.
