"The recent Patriot Act and the FISA laws are a direct Constitutional violation"
I think they have survived court challenges, but I don't follow all the legalities. Lots of times the SC finds "constitutional violations" to be constitutional.

I don't know why people worry about the NSA. They are at least supposed to follow rules B4 they nail you. (OTH, we knew the FBI had moles in the FSM crowds in '64, and they were actually tapping me in '82, so I always act like they still are. Once one starts phoning people looking for pot, one learns to start saying things like "Let's go fishing") In my town, strangers who hang around for a while might be undercover DEA. Loose lips can still sink ships. Kids learn young not to ask or answer "What does your father do?")

Corporations and China, OTH can just go for broke, without even a passing nod at rules.

Chinese hackers broke into the federal Office of Personnel Management computer system in March, apparently targeting tens of thousands of employees who applied for top-security clearance, The New York Times reported.
