Day #1, Investment in Resources Conference in Calgary. I would say that things were a bit disorganized on the organizers' part. However, many people showed up and there was lots (an overwhelming amount) to see and hear. About 60 booths in total, and some 500+ heads that I could count.

If anybody else went to the show, please add to what I have. I went to the JNR Resources (V:JNN) / Consolidated Pine Channel (V:KPG) booth, which was represented by a fellow from CPC (name slips my mind... I think it was Tom Parker??). Actually, the literature seems to indicate that the two companies can almost be used synonymously(?) since they are headed by the same people.

I'm hoping to drop by the show again on Tuesday (if my schedule permits). If people have questions that they wish me to ask, please let me know and I'll try my best to do so (since, I confess, I am a naive beginner in the industry and don't know all the "right" questions).

On display were some of the grab samples and kimberlite pipes with the various minerals found and reported in news releases. The representative didn't really tell me anything we don't know from the press releases. They're following some of the quartz vein samples which have many metals and good potential. Drilling hole #1 in the Pine Channel Area has indeed begun. Oh, one other thing... he chuckled when I asked about 60 oz Au/ton grab sample findings as reported by someone here. Highest assay value, he said, was 27.981 oz/ton

The fellow is definitely not a promoter, and there were no jazzed-up brochures or fancy pamphlets. Only a stapled bundle with all the news releases, a number of faxes from Andrew Williams of Monopros Ltd (the company doing the kimberlite modelling for JNR/CPC), and a map of northern Saskatchewan. In fact, it's worth your while to see their web-site if you haven't already done so at infodine.com. I can e-mail the faxes if requested.

The general feeling I got, though, was that indeed the company is legitimate and has potential, but it is also very much speculative at this point. I think "patience" needs to be in the vocabulary of all investors here... no big news releases are anticipated for a while, and drilling takes time.

Ben.
