The ONLY reason we have troops in Japan today is so that we have a presence in that part of Asia. I believe we also have troops in Germany. I'm not sure what your point is...we're trying to maintain a presence in Afghanistan too. I'm NOT sure that I like that we have to pay for troops all over the world though. I'm a bit tired of the U.S. being the world's policeman.
