Just bought a Windows 8.1 desktop (Acer) and make a flash drive recovery disk. I haven't loaded anything yet and want to verify the recover drive. I did reset to factory using the recovery utility built in the hard drive and thought that after changing the first boot sequence in the BIOS to the removable USB that it would activate, but no as a normal start up occurred. help please thanks, doug
