Every single American believed the folks of authority kept us safe and could be trusted. I will not waste time with a breakdown of events in American history from that point. But I will skip to Jimmy Carters announcement to run for president in 1976, his perfect “anti slogan” was, “I will never lie to you.” Then on June 19, 1979 the day Jimmy Carter signed SALT II with Brezhnev. Carter believing America’s ability to influence world events was “very limited”. The Soviet Union believed him, six months later the Russians invaded Afghanistan. . . . al-Qaida was born. Brezhnev did lie, to this new breed of American presidents. One of Jimmy Carter’s highest priorities was the advancement of “Human Rights”. We will never know if the allegations of the 3000 prisoners being tortured by the Shaw of Iran were true. But what is true, after the regime of Ayatollah Khomeini took power. There were more people tortured and slaughtered after his return in his first year than the Shaw allegedly killed in the previous 25 years. Jimmy’s new human rights policy with Ayatollah Khomeini was (I believe to this day) is his biggest nightmare. We now have a more worthless president than Jimmy Carter, this proves to us that history continues to repeat itself. But somehow we forget where it started. We have not fought a real war for close to Seventy years. Real wars might not have been the correct term. Maybe the bombing George W. Bush started with in the hillsides of Afghanistan should have lasted until the rocks became plant able soil. D
