Most importantly, my side has me. What I think is not subject to a vote or having the "right" people on my side. < Take a hard look at your side...Heartland, Morano, Singer, Monckton, Inhofe, Spenser...> I have no idea who Inhofe and Spenser are. Nor Morano. I think Inhofe is a USA politician. But there are others such as Madam Curry and sundry super scientists [actual scientists, not philatelist-style collectors of data who are more akin to numismatists and philatelists than physicists].

Simplistic ideas like the absorption of some wavelengths of light by CO2 and H20 suit scientific simpletons. But climate was obviously more complex than the bung models projected. It was obvious that climate was not going to respond so simply to CO2 increasing. The equations didn't even include the fact that plants absorb CO2 as food and more CO2 reduces their need for water and increases their cover of dry land. Nor did the equations include the effect of plants on snow cover which reflects light rather than absorbs it. There was no allowance for cosmic ray variability and the effect on clouds, which reflect incoming light.

There was probably no allowance for dew points varying by longitude as temperatures change and the fact that a dew point at the equator means a LOT more cloud than the same dew point at the Arctic circle. You probably don't even know what that means let alone developing a mathematical model for it.
