Delbert, what is wrong with this, in your opinion?

This treatment sounds more than fair enough, to me. Better, by far than, for example, what the Serbs did - raping the women and mistreating them in other ways, not even giving them food or water, then casting them aside.
What are the positive things with this Bible passage? (Don't tell me you are so oriented toward fault-finding that you can't find anything positive here?)
If you find something wrong with this, then tell us what YOU, as an army commander, would PREFER as guidelines for your soldiers?
