Delbert, are you admiring these righteous guidelines, or finding fault?
I am impressed that they are admirably righteous.
Also, I'm impressed, that if I was in a city being offered terms of surrender by an army following God's instructions, it would be best to surrender unless I'd rather die.
Who can fight against God?
Now, if you are finding fault with these righteous military guidelines, then I suppose you have some criticism, perhaps, to offer for the way Sodom and Gomorrah were utterly wiped out?
And perhaps you have a difference of opinion with what God did in the days of Noah, when everyone but Noah and his family were drowned?
The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the LORD. One lesson to be learned from all these passages is, "Don't mess with God!"
