Past tense, as in passed on. Long story about the incompetence of an 'old family dentist' and an 'old family doctor'...that put him under. Both should have been kicked out of their 'self-regulating' profession decades prior.

The problematic swallowing was unrelated to the above.

Was a great guy, too...prolly had at least another 10-15 good yrs left.
