I certainly would like to see them sell tons. But I'm worried that there will be more of a drop off. Everyone seems to be counting phones, no one is counting iPads.


That is because the iPhone is responsible for the bulk of the profits.

Absent a complete disaster, I'm not worried about iPad numbers. The key number will again be iPhone shipments/ASP's along with forward guidance...though even bad forward guidance could be written off as being due to the timing of the iPhone 6 launch.

The one number that worries me over the next six months is really iPhone margins in the December quarter. I hope there is no delay in the 5.5" iPhone because I think that unit will be needed to offset the margin decline of a $199 4.7" iPhone 6.
