Therapy and retail are two applications where tablets make a lot of sense, however, in all but one installation I was a part of in the past year, tablets other than iPads were chosen for their cost efficiency and flexibility. (The one case where iPads were chosen was on the basis "everyone is used to the iPad, it's the only tablet people know", which of course isn't correct, but they were in love with Apple and wouldn't hear otherwise.)
The thing that will sell devices in the future is good software ideas.
