Well multiply the 4k times the 3,650,000 people added to the rolls of Medicare every year (and for the next 19 years) and we might be talking some serious money here. Money that could be better devoted to the next generation.

The point I wish to make though is you assume that it is all possible to have all the "good" things --that we can have them all with no thought to how we can pay for them.

Is it realistic to think we can dismantle the military industrial complex in the present world? It's always been, over the last century, (save for maybe 25 "golden" years after WWII when our economy was basically the last one standing) a choice between "Guns" or "Butter"--with the politicians usually dividing it up into pieces--some for you over here and some for you over there.

You are of course entitled to think we live in the possibility of bringing some "Eden" about, but I don't think it comports with the political reality and budget constraints we face in bringing this "Eden' about.

You want to tell me what the "KK" stood for in the post you addressed?
