I don't know about wingers, but it is utterly stupid to have particular requirements in the Constitution and not require candidates to prove they are constitutionally eligible. It has never been a problem in the past because previous candidates had not held themselves out as "Kenyan born" for 15 years before running for the presidency.

The constitutional crisis that would result from later finding he was ineligible is immeasurable; although it is unlikely, it is not out of the realm of possibility.

He's either "Kenyan born" or he is a liar. Well, we know he is a liar. But neither is qualified to hold the office.
