I don't shy away from the label "liberal"... but I don't see anything wrong with "progressive" either
on thing's for sure, both are the opposite of "social conservative" and "regressive"... aka ignoramus assholes
I was born in '61 and grew up in southern Louisiana and southern MS... pretty much a normal childhood of just being interested in girls, playing sports, going fishing, going swimming... never cared for school very much, except all the cute girls... my first experience with racism was in school... we were on recess, don't remember how old i was, maybe 6,7, or 8... I was just minding my own business when a black kid walked up and asked would I share my candy with him... I was munching on something, so I shared it with him... 2 or 3 white kids walked up and asked me if I was a "nigger lover"... i always remember that incident vividly, and knew that i was somehow different than these punks, of course no doubt these kids were taught to be racists by their parents
Today, some of the assholes I play golf with are the grown-up version of these kids... they know I voted for Obama so they call me an "Obama lover"... they have all kinds of code words without saying "nigger", of course some of them have no problem with saying nigger this and nigger that, and of course they mostly go to church on Sunday and call themselves "christians" lol... it's amazing how they all worship Rush Limbaugh and Fox News... they are all so predictable and pitiful |
