I understand the importance of a Jewish homeland to Jews. I think Israel was an unfortunate choice of where to put it. I don't expect Israel to vanish, except perhaps in some nuclear holocaust in the future, when it's enemies have nuclear weapons as well. The entire small country could be destroyed by just a few. If a terrorist group ever gets a nuke, Israel is as likely to be the recipient as the US.

I'd expect the Muslim countries that launched them to also be nuked in retaliation.

Until then, they'll continue to be international pariahs, with only US clout protecting them from the harshest international sanctions. Unless we seperate ourselves from the continuing hot mess.

I wonder if the founders of Israel knew the future, would they have insisted on that location?

I'll be long dead by then. So will you.
