Hi Ric, It's pretty hard to keep a blind eye on our neighbours to the south, though. We import so much of our goods from them, not to mention that at this time of the year we import practically all of our produce from them. Pierre Elliot Trudeau once said, and I'm paraphrasing, that Canada being next to the United States was like a mouse sleeping next to an elephant; it's affected by every twitch and murmur of the great beast and in danger of being squashed if it isn't careful.
I know what you mean about Maui, or any of the Hawaiian Islands, because we like to go there in the winter as well, but with the exchange where it is now, we aren't going this year. We like Oahu because there is more to do at night. Lots of entertainment! Maui is lovely, but a little too quiet for us.
Ah well, there's always next year. Have you been keeping an eye on SJD? They should be releasing results shortly from the drilling program that commenced in October. The new season, from now until late May, should provide some exciting news. One thing about them is that they get the results, and they release them without any delays. I don't know if they will be out by Christmas, but if not, it should be shortly thereafter. It will provide me with another suspense filled season, I'm sure.
