7/25/14 Contest update
Observing PUMA pouncing on a large group of unsuspecting bears, quite a few biotech bulls mustered the courage to do some predation of their own. But, regrettably, the party had pretty much petered out by Thursday afternoon.
And at Friday’s close the Contest median was down -.30% YTD (vs. down -1.69% YTD a week ago), the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 12.33% YTD (vs. up 10.60% YTD a week ago), while the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 6.54% YTD (vs. up 6.12% YTD a week ago).
DEWDIL’s portfolio, up 40.01% YTD, remained in first place, with DOUGH’s portfolio, up 35.35% YTD, and WATCHIT’s portfolio, up 30.51% YTD, holding on to second and third place.
At Friday's close, 22 of the 46 Contest portfolios were in the black, while just 13 of the 46 beat the NBI. The median Contest portfolio stock (OREX) is down -6.04% YTD.
