Nope, it would still be a hell hole. The Palestinians would do what the Israelis are doing, blockade them in, no good will go in or out.
Take away oil and figs and what do you have thriving in the Middle East?Israel is an oasis among its jealous neighbors.
Actually, if the Arabs had no oil, there would not be an Israel. Israel is being support and allowed to get away with murder is to keep the Arab oil states in check.
