buy a reader. My reader sits on my desk and I read everything with my desktop Kindle software while sitting here in front of it. So ask yourself WHERE are you going to read. I use my Kindle reader when I am out eating somewhere. Which is seldom. I find the IPad you guys got me too clunky to carry around and read from. So of the choices, I think the Kindle is the answer. If you want to get books from your Library, the Kindle won't work and you need to buy the Kindle Fire for $139. Then you download the Overdrive media console from the Library into it and read the library books that way. Otherwise, buy the Kindle Paperwhite from Amazon for $119. If you buy the Fire and find it's too big for you send it back for the Kindle.
