I took a look at the Kindle Fire at AZ and noticed this:

Special Offers and Sponsored Screensavers display on Kindle Fire tablet lock screens and do not appear while you are using the device. Sponsored Screensavers include movie posters, album art, book covers, ads, and information about digital content or other products sold on Amazon.com.

Kindle Fire Special Offers are now better than ever with exclusive limited-time deals similar to Lightning Deals on Amazon.com, but with even greater savings.

Special Offer examples include a limited-time offer of video games for $5 (92% off), $5 to spend in the Amazon MP3 store, or the choice of a top-rated Kindle book for just $1
.

amazon.com

Do you regularly get ads and screen saver displays while reading your Kindle Fire? IOW if I bot that reader would I be better off accepting the Special Offer? I have the option to either take it or not.

I have another question. I do a lot of reading outside. How is the glare factor on your Fire? (assuming you have tested it outside.) This would be a very important deciding factor for me.

I see they offer the reader with 16GB, 32GB or 64GB. I suppose I'd be better off with the 64GB, but then again maybe I'd just remove a book after I read it and only need 16GB? I'm not really sure? The difference in cost between the 16GB and the 64GB model is $70.00 which isn't a huge issue.
