In answer to your question about marketing RMIL, MSFT successfully marketed Windows 3.11 against OS/2 2.1. Now, if you have any understanding of O/S's at all, you will see that quality is not what sells a product.
I thought you knew something, I was wrong, let me teach you some more, OS/2 is more STABLE I KNOW THIS, you can't teach me about a company I worked for and you OBVIOUSLY DID NOT! The public wants SPEED though, and a SMALL configuration file, do you realize that billly boy actually tried to save IBM with OS2, IBM at that time was paying programmers by the LINE of code, not the EFFEICIENCY of code like at Microsoft, upper management that were MBA's and not Techies thought that MORE was BETTER Of course this caused the IBM programmers to bloat the operating system so that they would make more, BIlly boy pointed this out to the upper management and they said NO way, you are WRONG billy boy, more is better, billy boy realized the icompetence of the upper management and he let them continue to add extra code for more money. Billy boy knows what the public wants and he gives ot to them, they go out and buy 100 million copies becasue they wanted to, not becasue he made them, and if they don't like something he will cahnge it until he is the best, you really don;t have a clue do you? |
