It's the exact opposite. The 1%, including me, are VERY happy the Fed has managed this crisis to our benefit. However, I'm a true friend of the 99%, because I actually realize that the Fed's largesse has really only benefitted the 1%. The 99% now have less disposable income than before the crisis and the value of their dollar's purchasing power has gone down by all measures that really matter, like the cost of food, gas, shelter, and health care.
Almost all of my posts have been the exact opposite of "me, me, me", but rather, my posts are very consistently about what is best for the 99% and for my children. I don't really care about me at all. I've been very consistent in my utter disgust of the Fed's looting of the 99% to recapitalize banks and to put more money in the pockets of the 1% in the hope that some of all of that will trickle down. Well, it hasn't worked. The 99% are far worse off.
But then again, the 99% are absolutely convinced that the Fed is their friend. That is the power of propaganda. Many Cubans are also still convinced that Castro is their friend. Go figure. There is one thing that Socialism does very very well and that is propaganda. |
