| | | Inode, But it is the only real option here to keep us from continuing down the road to an eventual dictatorship. Forget this silly notion of possible dictatorships. Forget about this whole talk of impeachment. Why do you think Obama is so dead set on bypassing Congress and doing whatever the hell he feels like?
After all, Ted has a point in that Obama can't run for a third term. It's not like Obama wants to, either. The sooner he can get his ass out of Washington, the more time he can spend golfing, hanging with celebrities, and going to diners like he used to as a "community organizer."
No, the real reason is because Obama wants to leave a legacy, one that has fundamentally transformed liberalism and the country as we know it. He wants to forever shift the equilibrium of American politics toward the left, where political correctness and socialism are considered normal instead of extreme.
(I also think Obama wants to push Fauxcahontas and other heroes of the "Occupy Wall Street" movement over Hillary Clinton, whom he despises.)
This is what Charles R. Kesler described in his book, "I Am the Change: Barack Obama and the Crisis of Liberalism." Obama is practically betting the farm, i.e. his legacy, on this revolution.
In short, he wants to be to liberals what Reagan was to conservatives. It's a huge gamble on his part, but I think ultimately it will backfire simply because Obama isn't competent enough to execute properly.
