siber-

good feedback. i know nothing. i thought it might be the users who are
subject to the ad displays who might be experiencing slower and more
intermittent loading speeds just because i don't experience the speed
problems myself. obviously, that's not the problem if paid lifers are
having speed troubles too.

whatever it is, it can't hurt to keep up with the feedback here. more info
from more users usually brings the solution closer to light.

i DO experience the same speed troubles mentioned here when i visit
multimedia content laden and ad-heavy news and entertainment sites but
i don't have the trouble on SI. <knocking on wood>

for my own speed problems elsewhere, i pretty much have come to suspect
my crappy computer (HP all-in-one), my operating system (win 8.1), my
browser (IE 11), and a chitload of malware and viruses. there are so many
things that can slow down the browsing experience.

i wish everyone luck in finding a resolution and i'm sorry i don't have the
answers. keep posting feedback here and maybe some will find solutions.

like TED says, it really is a pretty beautiful day... sort of... some of the time. <g>

ps- here's a new glitch that's happening to me lately on SI... when i write posts
i'm coming up with extra page returns (double and triple spacing between
paragraphs) on preview and final publishing submission. i have to edit to remove
the extra blank lines. i'm guessing that's a new glitch in the SI HTML editor?
