I don't mind some rules. I'm not big on shooting captives or of using chemical and biological weapons, nor uranium, depleted or full strength. We've always done as much as it takes to at least break even before our direct role ended. We dropped a lot of bombs on Hanoi, and there have been more than too many civilian deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan. Gaza's pretty complicated. It's OK to warn civilians, but, where are they gonna go? Refugees usually head for the borders, which, in this case, are closed by Egypt and Israel. If Israel is being surgical, they are deliberately destroying the entire infrastructure, and, if they aren't, maybe we need to sell them drones, so they don't have to use imprecise tanks and artillery and ships. If Hamas didn't fire from civilian areas, and if they used the tunnels as bomb shelters for civilians, lives could be saved. |
