You have to have rules in war.

In fact I would say especially in war.

We used to bomb cities with abandon in war. Today we don't do that so much.

Curtis Lemay's horrendous behavior would never be countenanced today.

In fact our behavior in Viet Nam would not be acceptable today, I think, I hope.

We must always strive for humanity whenever we can.

And we should never let the junk yard right wing drag us down to their level.
