If there is any massacre going on it is a Hamas massacre, not an Israeli one. The media's extreme pro-Israeli bias has conditioned Americans to believe whatever Israel does is justified; whatever Hamas does is bad. When Hamas murders civilians, they are "terrorists;" when Israel murders far more civilians, they are "justified." It's time to see this struggle in historical context, which, sadly, too many Americans don't.
In 1948, a well-intentioned West sought to create a homeland for Jews after the horrific holocaust. Problem was, it did so by designating land occupied for centuries by Palestinians, who were subsequently driven from their land to create a Jewish state. Palestinians fled to refugee camps in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jordan. So began decades of two peoples struggling to establish "home."
